It doesn't make it right, and I also don't think Bale was goading Madrid in any way by playing for Wales - they wouldn't play him and at risk of sounding old skool, I'm old enough to remember when playing for your country was the ultimate honour for any footballer.

And let's face it, we forgave Tevez and Yaya for far more.
