Find me an article, a tweet, or a carrier pigeon note that says City or Chelsea have asked for the game to be moved. There are multiple reports that neither club had requested the location to be changed.

This isn’t strictly true.
holidays were banned, but you could still travel for work.
there were a few red countries back then.
wierdly Portugal was one of them, due to the links with Brazil.
the Portugal game had to be moved to a neutral venue to avoid players quarantining on return to the UK.

It all changed when Turkey were put in the red zone by the UK govt. UEFA had no choice at that point.

Obviously the UEFA suits will want to move it to Portugal for selfish reasons but at the same time the world’s media will descend on the game and if the UK can’t host thousands of people coming in from around the world then it simply has to move.

People can swing from whichever direction they want but there are undoubtedly two sides to this.

The two sides of it is that UEFA don't want their corporate jollies to be subject to isolation or testing guidelines in the UK, so they're instead aiming to move it to a country where the supporters of both finalists will be subject to isolation and testing guidelines.

The UK can definitely host the game and people travelling, they'd just have to be subject to the same kind of guidelines we'd have to should we travel abroad to the final.

UEFA are scum.

the sticking point was the worlds media, from all 4 corners of the planet. Plus sponsors who have shelled out some serious wedge to be associated with these SCUM.
