It won't be City organising the travel, they have already outsourced it to a professional travel company.

They're waiting to hear back from Thomas Cook & Laker Airways.

Really don't like the wording of that from an independent traveller perspective.

I'm taking the "offering of a day trip" won't impact independent travellers. You should be OK.

If, a big IF, top price tickets are say €600 a pop then who amongst those that definitely going would pay that?

I would go on a club day trip if I could do it for a grand but it wouldn't be possible with that ticket price.
