Yep, just seen that advice .... not like the government to make things complicated is it!Yes I’ve seen that advice but there’s a more specific Government advice for fans going to the final, see page 4 of this topic which definitely says 72 hours, which tbh just seems common sense as saying 3 days could end up damn near 4 days depending on flight times.
Also I’ve got mate who’s a driver who goes regularly to the continent, he can’t afford to fuck up and he’s adamant it’s 72 hours.
For 39 quid it just isn’t worth the risk for me.

I think a definitive answer is the Government website. I’m taking a copy in case there is any argument!Like you, I've just been reading that advice and it definitely talks in 'days' not 'hours' which makes sense in that everybody knows flights are often delayed and so it's virtually impossible to be so specific. It's City, I think, that are saying tests should be taken after 1pm Thursday which seems to contradict the Gov guidance. I'm assuming there is no way to get a definitive answer to the question?
Yes mate I know but my return trip misses the 72 hours by a couple of hours so no way am I going to risk being stuck in Porto with a hangover from hellIt doesn’t actually say that.
it says if you are using the SAME test for both outward and return, then it needs to be taken within 72 hours of your return.
if you’re using a separate Portuguese return test (if you’re not on the day trip) then it’s the 3 days before you fly advice.
From gov.ukIt doesn’t actually say that.

Moved our DAM tests to Sheffield (from Stretford) for Thursday at 4pm, my lads at Uni there. I can then use those tests to come back with and if I get the tests on 24 hours out there thats fine.
I am also booking tests for my lad in Sheffield Tuesday and me Wednesday pm as they should come in time to get me on Spikes flight Friday am.
Moved to Sheffield as I fear Streford could be too busy and so delays.
I know its a massive expense but we missed Spurs LC Final as one of our tests did not come on time.
Just got to book the 2 day return thing, anyone any ideas on a good provider near Hazel Grove area?
