Champions League Final | Travel Requirements + COVID Tests

All the Dam health sites seem to be booked up now.

anyone booked anything this morning, ideally Manchester, Salford or Trafford?

thinking of going for the blindspot £125 drop off option now due to lack of available options, just didn’t fancy the whole “faceless” aspect of dropping it off in a bar in town and blindspot saying they would get back to you - anyone else on this option? Have you received your testing kit yet & how long did it take to get to you?

Sorry for all the questions blues - this is a headf**k to sort out!! :)

Yeah we booked x2 test kits yesterday with blindspot. However, no confirmation email has been received but the money for both kits is pending in our account.

Same here. Booked a test for Thursday afternoon when the website said same day results. Now they have changed their policy due to the volume of tests to within 24 hours, I wanted to bring it forward but can't.
I went to a DAM testing site today in Preston (just a Pharmacy) and it was busy. At no point did they check I had an appointment or that I'd even paid. I'm just hoping for the best that I get my results - didn't feel like great service for £99.

From gov.uk

Even if you’re using the same test it’s still 3 days not 72 hours.
Also got to remember the only person checking this will likely be the border agent at the aircraft gate!

Taking your test in the UK before travel

If you are returning to the UK within 3 days, you can use the result of a COVID-19 test that you take in the UK before you travel. You must use a private test provider for the test and not an NHS test.

The service on which you will arrive back in the UKmust set off for the UK within 3 days of when you took the test.
I just don’t want anybody to fuck up so please read what I believe to be the more specific Gov advice on page four by M18 CTID.
No probs though, hope it works out for you.

I agree it doesn’t help when two government pages give conflicting information but it’s pretty clear to me. Each to their own of course

Have Dam health changed their policy ? I thought it was result same day by midnight, now it seems to say results in 24 hours ??
I have an appointment 5pm Thursday and fly midday Friday.. panicking like mad now
I've got a 2.10 appt in Preston on Thursday. Just rang them and a bloke confirmed would receive result by 2.10 Friday. Hope he's right.

Loads of places do rapid testing in Porto, Synlabs and GermanoDeSousa being two companies off the top of my head. You can book if you want (Not at the airport kiosk that is walk ins only) alternatively Spike has said there will be rapid testing in one or two of the sports options hotels.

As far as im aware you dont need a printed copy of your return to UK form as its now linked to your passport but border force may ask to see a digital copy just to check you have booked your return test.
When you fill in your UK passenger locator form does a copy get sent to you by e-mail to present at border control?
