Champions League Games 11/12 October '22

Not really the point, it seems to me. His hand's got no business being on his shoulder. Mount's past him, and the Tomori doesn't just touch him on the shoulder with it. He's insistent with it. Penalty, though, is enough. Red card, too much. Yet again, it's the rule that's stupid. (As with handballs being considered as such when the ball just brushes your arm or hand, and its trajectory is not altered at all).
It is still a contact sport. What his arm on his shoulder did is allow the referee to make a decision.

The wrong one, imho.

Sorry but you’re wrong. The qualifier of an “obvious goalscoring opportunity” is what qualifies the quality of the chance.

Mount should have had an obvious goalscoring opportunity getting to the ball 1v1 and having a clean shot on goal, and instead he got was barely able to get a prod on the ball as he went down - an opportunity maybe but not an obvious one.

It should be common sense that the rules would not be written in a way that punished the attacker for trying to get a shot away despite being clearly fouled.
I’d be interested to see the wording of the law that states a 9/10 chance becoming a 7/10 chance being a DOGSO.

Obviously not at our expense but I'd really like to see Potter do we'll.

An Englishman managing a major club is nice to see.

Just wish it was England and not Chelsea. The FA had the farce of the Euros semifinal extra time where we got through despite wasitcoat’s tactics, the even bigger farces of his tactics in the Euros final and then bringing Saka and Rashford on cold to take penalties… then they had months of poor performances in the friendly tournament… they waited and waited and waited…

And now Potter is at Chelsea.

Frustrating!
