Monchengladbach is about 30mins from Dusseldorf on their normal trains which are pretty regular.
However, their stadium is in a place called Rheydt, which involves another train journey, and then a tram.
Alternatively, you can just catch a tram from Monchengladbach hauptbahnhof, which from memory takes about 20 minutes.

Flew into there for the Schalke game a few years ago. It's a fair way out but train network is really good. From memory it was about an our into Düsseldorf.
