Champions League Matches 17th/18th - 24th/25th February.

How lucky are Chelsea? It seems like all the top teams when they play them throw away their shooting boots. An average team who get an incredible amount of luck.

They weren't THAT lucky after all.

Turns out their bus got stuck before being parked at the stadium tonight. Guess that's why it was so sluggish coming on to the pitch.

It's like right out of a joke book ...

Does my head in watching that cowardly football especially when they get away with it

Chelsea played well, the Champions League is all about getting results and if they go through on the away goal then they've done what was needed. If we adjusted our style of play more in the CL then maybe we'd get a little further or perform better in our group

They were sliced open routinely in the second half and a decent ref would have awarded PSG two penalties.

"... played well" is a bit much, "... were lucky fuckers" is more apt.

They got an away goal and a draw to take back to Stamford Bridge against the current French Champions. Maybe "played well enough" is more accurate

That wouldn't account for their drastic amount of luck/refereeing incompetence though would it.

They rode their luck as per usual. Negative as all fuck and still a shambles at the back.

I'd like to see what the ref in our game would do if Kompany took out Messi in the box off the ball... actually, I hope we don't adjust our style and avoid doing that.

I like PSG and would be happy to see them go through but then not because we need Chelsea to stay in this competition at least as long as us and probably further to increase the chances of catching them in the Prem.

It's not though, is it? It's no different to any other competition. Results are only part of it. There are still people out there who want it to be entertained in between the trophy wins. Chelsea prove the point - They never received as much respect for their CL win because of the manner in which they won it.
