This has been covered on other threads by the odds are that if City make the SF (or maybe even the QF) they should be in Pot 2.

There are 13 clubs ahead of City in the rankings who do not look likely to make the CL next season:

Inter (11 points adrift)
Roma (10)
Fiorentina (17)

Athletico (4)
Sevilla (4)
Villareal (12)

Werder Bremen (8)
Hamburg (17)

Lyon (11)
Marseilles (8)

Sporting (9)

Liverpool (9)
Chelsea (3) or Arsenal

That would put City in the top 18 clubs in the CL.

So City need to overtake two clubs in the rankings to make Pot 2 assuming that the league positions remain as they are. Braga and Dinamo Kiev are within two points of City and Spurs are within five points.

Beat Sporting home and away gives 5 points.
Informative post

So we need to progress in the Thursday night league, overtake Spurs in the coefficient table and hope they finish top four in the prem, which would eliminate two of Chelsea, Arse and dipperpool
Watch those twitchy twunts blow it and we miss out on pot two by one place

to be honest not really bothered if we are in pot 2 or 3, we only just missed qualification by an hairs breath which in other seasons would have seen qualify easily, our extra experience should now stand us in good stead for next season which ever pot we are in.
no-one will want to be in our group and i mean no-one.

Good thing is that the 8 teams directly above us are out of all European competition and won't improve their scores much more (country co-efficient only).

Wins home and away against Sporting, and wins home and away in the quarter finals will see us only a point or so away from topping the lot of them.

your all wrong this morning on talks**t it said arsenal should be in the champ league even if their not in the top 4 ha ha ha

based on what? losing

no their first half performance

...against a team who had a 4 goal lead and couldn't be arsed to defend because they knew they were already through..

The wankfest over Arsenal is hilarious, if they were that good then why did they go into the second leg with a 4-goal defecit?

Great first half performance, but from 60 mins they didn't really threaten Milan at all.

I think we just get 1 point if we get into Q/Finals and it doesn't matter how we do it.

Bump. Anyone know how the seedings are looking so far I know psv and inter haven't qualified which should stand us in good stead surely
