Champions League Semis Tues/Wed

Looks like Mancini's two main transfer targets last summer could be instrumental in wining the PL title and the CL. Martinez was exceptional last night.

-- Wed Apr 24, 2013 7:34 am --

I have just seen the score this morning. Wow! So with the introduction of Gotze, they are only going to get stronger.

That signing could also scupper Dortmond's chances against RM. Apparently he's been getting awful abuse from their fans since it was announced he's off to Bayern and he had to ask for police protection at their training ground. Not the best way to prepare for a CL semi final.

I think the driving force behind Gotze's moving so soon was the world cup. The Bayern team is pretty much going to be the German team and he stands a better chance of making the starting 11 if he gels with the other first 11 players.

The Bayern team is really scary and they are so young. Gotze is just 20, Muller 23, Krooos 23, Badstuber 24, Boateng 24, Martinez 24, Alaba 20, Shaqiri 21 and they are very experienced already.

Dortmund are on great form and so are Madrid. I thought Bayern would do Barca and win the whole thing, but the Dortmund vs Madrid game is truly 50/50.

I'm going for Bayern this year, they have dominated their league and the only team i've seen them have a bad game against was Arsenal but they were already 3 ahead on aggregate. Thought it'd be an equal game last night but they battered Barcelona. Their manager isn't very well known but he could retire this year with a Champions League.

Jupp Heynckes isn't very well known? How do you work that one out? He's been at Bayern at least twice that I can remember, and I'm pretty sure he was at Madrid for a short period and won the Champs League.

The final is a match apart. The favorite doesn't always win.
I don't think Dortmund can beat Bayern if they make the final. I think Madrid are the only team that can stop Bayern. One of the main reasons for this is that Madrid match up to Bayern physically and speed wise. I can see Madrid beating Bayern if those two are in the final.
