If we sign Bonucci (for Mangala), Peres (for Zaba), Stones (for Kolorov I guess), Kroos (for either Yaya, Fernando or Nasri) and Sane (for Navas)....and drop Delph as there's no longer any room due to Stones........ then we'll have ....
- 2 keepers for 1 position (obviously)
- 7 defenders for 4 positions (Kompany Otamendi Sagna Bonucci Peres Clichy Stones)
- 5 midfielders for 3 positions (Gundogan Fernandinho Kroos Nasri Yaya)
- 7 attackers for 3 positions (Nolito Aguero Iheanacho Sane KDB Silva Sterling)
If Kroos was for Fernando then we'd need to pull a defender into midfield sometimes, if he's for Yaya or Nasri we loose depth in terms of players that can control the tempo.
Even with all those signings there's a lack of adaptability imo. Attackers or defenders who can confidently slot into CM. So our first 11 would be great but we'd not have the depth that we crave for later in the season.
Just musings - don't take my head off. :-)
(P.S. I wanted to keep Navas in there as a Wingback and couldn't find space; and I couldn't fit Zinchenko in. we need some U21s breaking into the squad asap imo)
