Reports that Michael Beale is set to be named as Sunderland's new manager. Thoughts, @Stockport mackem?
Not inspiring at all...would have been interesting to bring Will Still in..a total punt..but interesting...
But Michael Beale??? No thankyou...
Feels like a step back from Tony Mowbray who had us playing great Football (at times).
I'd rather give it to the caretaker manager for the rest of the season than Beale...don't want him....And given the Sunderland message board...neither does the majority of the fans...
Although I'll obviously love him if he proves me wrong

He won’t prove you wrong. You have my condolences. Beale is probably THE worst manager in Rangers history! His time with us was an utter shambles!

He started well at QPR but they were going downhill before he left.

GvB was in a bit of trouble at Rangers and Beale came up for a game and did a tour of the Rangers pubs touting himself to the fans. then even more shamefully did a podcast up here where he was exceptionally critical of GvB!! He was then pictured with Rangers directors. All this time GvB was still in the job! Not the behaviour of someone I’d want at my club. I’m not talking through hindsight as I felt this way from the beginning!

Again Beale started well and was undefeated in first dozen or so games. It was all downhill from there!! He sold players like Antonio Colak and replaced him with Dessers. Replaced Hagi with Lammers and in doing so weakened the playing squad and at the same time spending millions!

He’s an arrogant bastard and his press conferences are comedy gold if it’s not your club suffering from this utter clown.

Tbh I am astonished he’s got a managers job at all never mind at a relatively ‘Big Club’ like Sunderland. All the best to you and Sunderland but I ll never forgive Beale for taking us backwards

Norfolk v Suffolk

It's the equivalent of us playing *spits* Leeds.
And would you class that as a derby? As you said, they're not even in the same county, never mind the same city. I'm not having a go, by the way. I get what you're saying. To be fair to me, though, I did acknowledge the clash of the carrot crunchers as a "rivalry".
