It’s happened against us over the seasons on more than one occasion.I'd be embarrassed to walk off that field with three points if I was a Leeds player
My understanding was that, once the ball hit/was played by the L***s defender after the ball hit the woodwork, it was then a new phase of play. Apparently though, that's not the rule/law. Fair enough. No need to argue, but that's definitely the offside law, as confirmed 10 minutes after the fact by the commentators. You can never be offside from a touch by an opponent if you have been onside from the previous pass by your own player, he could only be offside if he was offside from the pass from his owner player if the Leeds player was deemed to have not attempted to play the ball. As he was onside the goal should have stood. Its massively changed the game too.
L***s fans? Weird fuckers? And a Kaiser Chiefs sing-along after the final whistle. Weird fuckers.
No problem, they make that many changes to the offside law! i just found it strange you thought you could be offside in any new phase of play where an attacker hadn't played the ball.My understanding was that, once the ball hit/was played by the L***s defender after the ball hit the woodwork, it was then a new phase of play. Apparently though, that's not the rule/law. Fair enough.
