Champs League Draw

So the champions of England get the most difficult group out of the four representatives?

Coupled with the farthest distance to travel in Europe?

Those saying stop moaning.

It's the direct impact the competitive nature of these games will have upon our Premier League fixtures.

Chelsea can literally afford to put the reserves out before they play us.

Chelsea have earned the right for an easier draw by being in Pot 1 though

And Arsenal have earned that right by consistently being the 4th best side in England and rarely getting beyond the round of 16 in Europe despite getting piss easy groups?

Shit draw imo

Bayern will probably come first which probably means a difficult draw in the next round like last season.

Should beat CSKA comfortably. Roma are a strong side especially in midfield with Nainggolan, De Rossi (who we will finally see at the etihad lol) and Pjanic.

Nainggolan the player to watch out for in the Roma very good player.

They (yes, them again) always say that 10 points should get you through. Well; there's no reason why we can't get 3 home wins (Bayern won't be looking forward to coming to our place). Draw in Rome, and we should be able to win comfortably in Moscow. Even changing the above results to a draw at home against Bayern would still give us 11 points. We should be more than capable of getting out of that group.

I'm amazed how few people are getting this. I want to win the league again. I certainly don't want to see Mourinho and his smug fucking face lifting the trophy as he's just pissed through the easiest CL group known to man.
We knew we'd be likely to get a tough draw because we weren't in Pot 1.

If we don't get 10 points off Roma & Moscow we want shooting. Then we take 4 off Bayern and bob's yer uncle.

I'm still confident we'll get out of the group, but that's missing the point to a degree. Having to play Bayern is fair enough, there was a 2/3rds chance of getting one of the tougher Pot 1 sides, CSKA is a bit shit due to the travelling and the plastic pitch, but it's the Roma one that's really shit. Yes, we can certainly beat them, but Malmo, Borisov, APOEL, Anderlecht, Ludogrets or Maribor would have been virtually gimme's with our squad strength, and we could even have rested a few against some of those sides. Roma will be 2 tough games, thrown in amongst some tough Premier League games.
With the focus on the Champions League, we wouldn't rest anyone unless the group is locked up.

Hopefully we don't have to travel to CSKA in winter.

Also, anyone calling Roma shit clearly hasn't watched that team. They boast one of the best mid-fields in Europe and play a very frustrating style. Think Napoli of a few years ago, with more polish, grit and a better manager.
Indeed!
