changes to the CL seedings, AC want wildcards

wildcards...desperate murmurs from a desperate club
If this ever came in, the next logical step would be to abolish relegation from these same clubs domestic leagues. It would split the game, UEFA would go its own way with it's select band of clubs and the rest would just form a rival organization, possibly even banning UEFA clubs from any domestic competitions. The two groups would go their separate ways as did rugby when that game split into two with the amateur RFU and the professional RFL each going their separate ways. Perhaps something similar should happen with our favoured sport if all the Platini and Blatter bullshit that the game is subjected to isn't laid to rest.

Being in pot 1 if you win the league won't make much difference.
The main change that needs to be made to make the draw fairer is with TV pairings.
Until the team in the pair that finishes higher in the qualifying league goes into the higher pot then the draw will still benefit the consistent qualifiers.
Incidentally I believe the change was made because Bayern, Barca and Real have worked out that one of them has a 75% chance of playing us in a group game in the current system. And if we qualify from the group in 2nd spot then the other 2 have a 50% chance of bagging us in the first knockout round. We won't continue to fail so their solidarity with there G14 English brethren only goes so far...

This doesn't really compute with the City fans who think UEFA are in bed with the G14 to systematically destroy City...
As I said a few pages back; this is to do with PSG being in pot 1, we just might benefit as well.

Or alternatively, we could end up getting royally screwed by this change. Assuming Chelsea win the PL while we end up in the Europa League come January and quickly get knocked out fielding weak teams, there's a good chance we'll be in Pot 3 next year. Right now, there's a bunch of teams close to us coefficient-wise who could overtake us, so we need an excellent performance in the CL this season to guarantee Pot 2 next year.
