Why the fuck people want to sneak into this country baffles me.

We're the dearest in everything, the government are a bunch of thieving/lying twats, it's full of reality tv/social media cunts, what on earth do people see in the UK!

I'd be gone from this country in a heartbeat if I had the bread to do it.

Apparently, as soon as you arrive, you get benefits, a house, a car, a 50 inch TV, a GP, kids go to school and then, if you can be arsed (as the benefits are so huge) you’ll be given a high paying job. Given this is the narrative in the media that reviles these people, it’s hardly surprising.
Not only that, with no EU to blame anymore, there is no incentive for the government to actually DO anything as there always needs to be a constant supply of people to blame.
At the minute, Union Barons and immigrants will do nicely thank you.

It's not a debate more posturing. Asylum/immigration has always been the same. The present day tories are full blown loons and Labour are scared to death of the subject. And too many posters on here have an agenda and/or post hyperbole.

I agree, you have to wonder just how desperate people must be to try a sea crossing anytime let alone in these low temperatures. But on the other hand I also struggle with why they try to get to the UK once they have got through to countries like France and Germany. It is such a huge risk to take when they are already safe.

Family ties/English speaking/badly treated by the French appears to be the current reasoning.
