All won't though and certain countries will always attract more people. No one ever gives a number so it completely devalues any argument they have.

That may be true but its the French authorities responsibility to deal with the criminal gangs that capitalise on people desperation.

Lets be honest there hasn't been a peep out of the French Gov over this until today, But Macron and co were jumping up and down in a frenzy last month threatening cutting off power impounding boats etc etc when their fishing fleet looked as if it was losing some rights? its all about priorities for some and migrants aren't top of their list.

Awful tragedy, these people are just trying to find better lives for themselves and their families. The British and French governments need to find a solution to the problem, rather than just blaming each other.

One angle. You get millions of people leaving poorer countries, causing huge brain drains and a lot of those countries, let’s say Syria in a mess. All the potential doctors, nurses all leaving. would Syria or similar countries be in a better place? Having lost huge swathes of their population

as I said you clearly have an agenda. What your saying isn’t wanted or feasible at all

You are aware that over the last few years more people have left the UK than arrived here? Might explain our labour shortage.
