You are aware that over the last few years more people have left the UK than arrived here? Might explain our labour shortage.
you didn’t answer my point. You said the world would be better… places like Syria, Iran, Lebanon would not be better if we had no borders. Rich countries might benefit, but poorer countries wouldn’t at all. Millions of their best people leaving them. Why would you want that?
I don’t agree with no controls at all. I think it’s a ridiculous idea that in reality would never work

It won’t be the popular view but the single fact we cannot overlook is the fact that we ( and the US ) are directly responsible for this migrant crisis in the 1st place.
We ( and the US ) should be taking large numbers in because of that. As well as spending large sums of cash to help them more local to there original homes.
we as a country are shirking responsibilities. Rather than taking more in and helping more locally we are reducing numbers in and reducing funding to help.
every one of these deaths is on us.

EVERYONE with a sob story is an “asylum seeker” these days! Countries need to NAME countries from which asylum is currently being allowed. Let’s people know they’ll be turned around at the border with NO HOPE of asylum!
The notion that anyone from anywhere can show up, fill out a form and disappear into the country is mental. And, it’s the same in the USA.
There’s a reason people are willing to trek all the way through Europe and then bet their life crossing g the Channel. Take that reason away and it stops!

Current level of unemployment in the UK stands at 1.5 million. Couldn't we use the people already here to fill all these vacant posts?Yeah but they shouldn't be coming here obvs. A sane country which faces a shortage of people to fill vacant posts would be welcoming people with open arms and quickly processing them to match them to jobs but instead we deny them access and damage our own economy and with everything that this relates to the only explanation is - " yeah but forriners innit mate "

errrr - not sure how up to date you are with events but the answer to that question is NO. If we could the unemployed and vacancies figures would already be closer wouldn't they?

Ideally we could and should do, sadly I think we have a whole new level of society now who think they should be given everything on a plate and want to live on benefits. It's become a huge issue in my eyes now, I know some people who won't even consider looking for work as they can make more money from "other means"
Parenting over the last 20 years has a lot to answer for in my opinion.

So, you're saying open the borders and let them in with open arms to fill the vacancies but we have 1.5 million unemployed. We don't have zero unemployment and 1.5 million vacancies? You're correct though, I don't know the current level of job vacancies.
