Chants we may never hear at the Etihad again?

Come a, come a, come a, come a,
Come a, come on City,
We're going up,
We're going up

That's the karma chameleon promotion song.

Another classic from that season, was the original of the Samir Nasri song, to the tune of "Baby give it up".

"Going up, City's going up
Nanananananana na na
City's going up"

Always baffled me how that lay dormant for 30 years and they resurrected it. Still, we got it back eventually.

I Remember (for some reason) as Bertie Mee said to Don Revie..

The recent resurgence of 'We never win at home' being sung in the stadium has made me think about other songs which we may never hear again, or at least ones that it seems highly unlikely we'll hear again.

Obviously, player related songs can date and disappear, but I'm thinking more of general songs that lasted a few years.

Here's a few obvious ones....

- "The Football League is upside down" (sung after the odd victory in relegation seasons, mostly in 1980s) - maybe we could have sung this after inept performances this year, or if Utd win the League!
- "We've got more in the Junior Blues, doo dah" (sung to away fans often at Maine Rd when they had the old Platt Lane) - No Jnr Blues anymore!

Here's a sad one...

- "Helen, Helen, Ring Your Bell" - sadly, Helen's no longer with us

There must be plenty of others to add?

I always likes the Uwe Rosler song, but like you say that really was for a player at a particular moment in time. We don't sing any derogatory songs about Fergie going to see the pope anymore, or Martin Edwards having VD, or beat him on the head with a baseball bat. The long chant by the Kippax singing simply "City" sometimes it went on for what felt like 10 minutes. we don't sing Rangers Celtic anymore.
