Club aren't impressed with the amount of people buying tickets and not turning up to games. The general feeling is that the cheap cost of the ticket allows people to miss matches willy-nilly without feeling they've wasted their money. This mostly relates to the cheap kids season tickets in the north stand, where the figures for actual attendance are pretty poor to say the least. There's now hundreds if not thousands of fans who can't get tickets because an empty seat is taking their place.

If you've bought a cheap kids season ticket and don't use it often then best put it to use before the club raise the price and give the ticket to someone who wants to go to every game and is willing to pay for it.

As far as I'm concerned this all falls back on the whole north stand = family stand concept. Not sure if it can work with higher ticket prices and that many seats.

The whole of the north stand isnt "the family stand" this season.... more shit stirring...

How have you got this information? I think Kids Seasoncards need to be affordable because they're the future of this Club. The average age of a person attending a Premiership match is 40+ and there's an entire generation of football fans who only know some Fun Pub experience over being at the Stadium.

City need to introduce a new version of SeatExchange in order for Seasoncard holder who don't go to sell their seats on those who can go. As an exile, I was pissed off when it went first time after a short period. I move heaven and earth to get to matches now but £20 in my pocket when I couldn't make Stoke would've been nice!

i have a season ticket but can't go often as I had to move away at the end of september.

hope it doesn't go up too much cos I'm hoping to move back for next year so I can go to more games.

Main reason I got a season ticket is just so I've got one and can get points to keep up with everyone else, if I could go I would.

Is this from a reliable source, the media or an assumption?

Garry Cook said at an SC meeting he came to that kids are the future of this club. City have one of the highest average supportere ages in the PL and they wanted to get it down. Years of failure and a very successfulclub just down the road had left us miles behind.

The club are well aware that there'll be empty seats for midweek games due to the late finish and some when the parents can't make lunchtime kickoffs due to work commitments or the lads are playing for their school/local team. A lot of people buy seats in the North Stand and walk round to the S/S.

No doubt 'cheap tickets will be phased out and they'll fall in line with other clubs and we start to pay market rate for the quality fo fottbal we're seeing now. £400 for midtable mediocrity was ok - don't expect it much longer though.

are you kidding about its because of cheap season tickets, if it werent for the cheap season tickets i reckon a lot of kids in the north stand wouldnt be able to go, just another excuse to put prices up

No proof=no truth.

Put up or shut up.

There should be an easy way for people to let the club know that they can`t attend and that they would like to sell their ticket. Ticket X-Change or whatever it was called was a disaster.
I used it often and it was faultless, I miss it.
