The general feeling is that the cheap cost of the ticket allows people to miss matches willy-nilly without feeling they've wasted their money. This mostly relates to the cheap kids season tickets in the north stand, where the figures for actual attendance are pretty poor to say the least. There's now hundreds if not thousands of fans who can't get tickets because an empty seat is taking their place.
If you've bought a cheap kids season ticket and don't use it often then best put it to use before the club raise the price and give the ticket to someone who wants to go to every game and is willing to pay for it.
As far as I'm concerned this all falls back on the whole north stand = family stand concept. Not sure if it can work with higher ticket prices and that many seats.
How do you know this fella??? And who exactly isn’t empresses??
HRH ?? Kaldoon ??
can’t see them being that fussed tbh about a few kids having to miss the odd game here and there due to bad weather late kick offs and school nights!!!
Think it is a bit of a myth there are thousands of empty seats regular in the family stand,, nope !! I know it’s a myth, as I sit there and there has not been Thousands of empty seats in that section all season.
on the odd occasion where there have been noticeable non attended (bad weather, night games) I’m sure the club would have been expecting this,, or do you think they would expect me to bring a 5 year old to a night game and keep him out till 11 pm on a school night, or perhaps sit said 5 year old in minus 5 temperatures with a risk of being stuck on snowed in roads for hours after the game ??
I am thinking the great minds at our club will have expected that there may be a few people not attending at night games and when the weather is bad, and that a good percentage of these would be from the family stand
