Cheap season tickets on the way out

Funny this story as only tonight I had a fans questionnaire email aimed specifically at fans in the family stand and the matchday experience, and how City are intending to improve the area even more, add more entertainment and asking for opinions about the tickets ring value for money. The club have spent a lot of money in the North Stand to make it family friendly, they arn't going to spend all that then discourage people from bringing kids!

I really don't think that "cheap" season tickets will last forever, but if there is any truth in the OP's post, then the club could easily identify the culprits and write to them asking them where they were in a marketing kind of a way.

Alternatively, the club could so what many other companies do and reward their long-standing patrons with a discount. Now that they've screwed up the loyalty system by selling points for pounds, who could argue with that?

Company sells all it's season tickets and is happy.
Company then unhappy people don't use them.

Sorry but am i missing something here? If fans have paid for them they are free to do with them what they want. Should the club send round taxis to absent fans houses and demand fans turn up for games?
Fans not turning up don't chalk up the loyalty points so what's the problem?

It may be different fans for each game - night games on school nights are not suitable for some children and that includes the parent/s being able to attend too. People work all kinds of shifts and can't get the time off every time. Some fans (whisper it quietly) don't sit in their North Stand seat but walk round and stand with a mate or two in the South Stand.

My ex once bought a membership at a gym and did the usual first month and then sacked it - I ended up paying for the next 11 months. I don't recall the gym owner complaining that she wasn't attending every week.......

I've read a few posts regarding the old Seat Exchange, why do we need an official one when we have our very own on the Ticket and Travel Forum ?
If I can't get to the game because of work, I make sure my seat is used by a Blue who can't afford a Seasoncard. Keep it in-house and everyones a winner.

My lad will be 16 next. So the children's ticket price is out for him. Think a 16-18 price brackets in place though isn't it?

How much does a cheap season ticket cost?

I know people with season tickets that don't make every game but it's not because their tickets are cheap.

Lets go to the other end of the spectrum, the corporate seats and the boxes behind me on the second tier are empty for 80% of the games. Chuck in a title decider against united and yeah they are full but its very rare they are filled for a "normal" match

Got to say that after having had a season ticket for over 30 years I hate to leave it empty if I can't go and a s a consequence it's filled by a friend or relative more often then not at my expense.
Having a season ticket for me just enables me to get to most, if not all home games in a season, it's a perk. As I say, if I can't go, then somebody else does.
Four years ago, when my son was 6, I bought him his first season ticket. He is in the cup schemes but doesn't go to every game, usually night matches and the odd weekend game as he plays football, but again, if he doesn't, some other friend or relative upgrades the seat and sits in it. It is rarely empty and no it's not in the North Stand but block 131 in the Colin Bell Stand.
Do people not have friends or relatives they can give their empty seats to I wonder, rather somebody sits in it for free than let it stay empty, does'nt make sense.............
