cheapest place to buy euros

I'm wary of online companies after being fleeced when Crown Currency Exchange went bust. All my holiday spending money, & money to pay the hotel gone. I stick to the post office or well known names now.

Just remember pay cash for your foreign currency.
Do not use a card of any description. If you do there is a loading put on it, even a debit card.

We usually use those money shops for currency. Usually they have the best rates

There's a place on Warrington St. in Ashton. I'm told it's opposite where the old Post Office was.

My mates used it when we last went abroad the other month. The bank rate was 1.23, they got 1.21 and I got 1.14 with Thomas Cook (All with no extras i.e. commission)

I don't know what it's called and it's not there on google maps when streetview was taken in 2009.

Maybe this will jog someone's memory and this difference will save you €42 on £600.
