Ched Evans - serious injury

I am not sure any other City players engaged in things in quite this way, truth is guilty or not guilty and whatever the verdict( unless the new evidence is extreme there will still be doubt ) he has played a bery big part in his downfall . Had he played the ball instead of the man, had he spent his time dealing with the case on the facts not being outraged that someone would even date to question his God life self, then whether he was guilty or not he would have probably got off. He will also never get the redemption he wants as whatever the verdict he has shown himself a contemptible person in front of the public and that perception in public and media is unlikely to change . Which makes you wonder is he doing it all for himself as he doesn't even believe he is innocent.
Total bollocks.

Jog on Ealing. You've decided he's guilty as you don't like him. You're gutted the guilty verdict has been quoshed and you're projecting like a mo fo.

As for not being sure what other City players engaged in, why would you. You're of an older age and you literally couldn't be physically further away and I also doubt you knock about with my players that were at the club around that time.

And yes we get it, you think he's arrogant. Great. But that is not on trial here. It's immaterial. Being an arrogant cock matters not one jot, it's not an offence that carries a custodial sentence.

You've already shown your skills for divination are lacking by saying there would "never be a retrial" and he'd "never be innocent, he can't be" so let's have less of the "he'll never get the redemption he wants", I would seriously check if you told me tomorrow was Saturday.

would you say the same for those arrested for the Attacks in Belgium or such attacks honestly? He is pending trial I assume so he's legally not guilty the same as anyone would be at this stage in the trial process that was true of Rolf Harris or Ronnie Biggs at this stage to.

By that I mean you are right but that most people will have a view on guilt before trial and in reality guilt or innocence is both factual and legal and they are not always the same. Is OJ guilty or innocent in your gut?

Pmsl.

I decided he was guilty based n the evidence presented and his character that suggested he was Simone incapable of even considering consent so wrapped up in his own importance.

U less something dramatic comes up like OJ I will believe him guilty but it's a fact of life he either did it or he didn't regardless of the verdict anyway.

As for the arrogance it is relevant if it borders on or is sociopathic, especially in this case as if you believe yourself above other people, you believe they are there for your pleasure you may not even consider the possibility of consent as you are so wrapped up in yourself. If this is something jury etc consider in dealing with doubt it is also very relevant.

There have also been plenty of cases where character or unsympathetic character have played a big part in conviction - rightly or wrongly just look at Lindy Chamberlain. Had he acted differently he would have got off - that would have been potentially wrong but it kilda have happened so either guilty or not guilty he has been very much a victim of his behaviour

For right or wrong our legal system is very effected by the character of witnesses and the prosecuted and the quality of their lawyers

Christ, why do people care so much about this? He's fought the case, and now he's getting another go. I said at the time that if I'd been accused, and found guilty, of this offence I'd fight it every single day. We'll see what happens when it comes in front of a jury again.

From what I read she was unable to remember anything in the morning, and police decided to press rape charges - that decision was police, not hers.

Whatever be the case a couple of things are clear.
The threshold for rape prosecution has been set rather low, because what condition she was in the morning was immaterial, what mattered was could she give consent in the night when the incident occurred, and nobody, not even herself could be certain.

And whether rape or not, Evans is a utter, complete scumbag. Maybe I am old fashioned but you don't sleep with someone and leave her in that state. Apparently she was naked and disorientated in the morning, what kind of jackass leaves a girl alone in a strange hotel room?
I don't think anyone can condone the manner in which he went out of his way to shag her, then dissapearing through fire escapes for his getaway

The guy is a fucking horrible ****, how the fuck does his other half stay with him knowing how he went abt all this. On top of that her dad funding most of it aft what he did to his daughter. What a fuckin family.

I look at it the other way.

She's independently wealthy through her family and she's stuck with him as lots of women stick with people that some may call "horrible cunts". But being a non-galan horrible **** isn't against the law.
