Ched Evans - serious injury

I think cheating is wrong, if you want to defend him for it so be it. Would you like your partner to do that to you?
Agreed, but this case wasn't about his morals it was about rape for which he was cleared and rightly so in my opinion.

The question of his morals is something he is going to have to live with along with his wife/girlfriend.

No, probably not but what has that got to do with anything? The guy has done time for a crime he didn't commit and you're still going on about thinking cheating on his girlfriend is wrong. You sound like a loon to me.

If you think I'm a loon for merely quoting what Evans said then fair enough. I could quite as easily call you a loon for defending him for something you wouldnt like if it was done to you.

Again, I didnt say he broke any laws, I didnt call him a rapist at any point, all I stated was that what he did was wrong, something he himself admitted, yet a few seem upset at this and are defending his actions for him. A person can be in the wrong without breaking the law.

Dont think english legal system has a punishment for cheating in a relationship or is there? So mouning over that is completely ridiclous, those arguing with the verdict how would you feel if you had to spent 30 days for crime you didnt commit let alone 2.5 years? Moreover being publically humilated by media with rapist being used as your first name and your career being taken away from you? I have posted before on this thread and read the actual transcripts of case, was always of the opinion he was not guilty, glad truth prevailed finally. I know rape is a sensitive issue but it doesnt mean you become a rapist and should be treated like one just because you have been alleged of rape

Agreed, I think people seem to forget that at absolute best, Ched Evans is a **** who snuck out on his wife to go have sex with an absolutely hammered girl who his mate had just banged. The only debatable point was whether she was so hammered that she couldn't legally consent, which seemed like blind guessing on everyone's behalf. At absolute best, he merely took advantage of her condition, which is still a completely ****ish thing to do

Serious question

If your daughter came home and said "Dad, this is what my boyfriend did last night" then told the whole story

Would you say "Oh love he's done nowt wrong, Or would you think he was a ****?
Serious question
If you found out your daughter had sex with a man who happened to be highly drunk and didn't remember much of what happened when he woke up the next day,

Would you drag her to police to report her for rape and expect her to be jailed for five years, and debarred from her career for life?

Girlfriend not wife.

What's that got to do with anything. The argument has moved on from the new verdict. It's now been posted on here that Ched has done nowt wrong and he's a decent lad. Personally I think he's still an utter **** and piece of human shit.

For me the first sentence there is completely irrelevant in every way. Why is anyone getting bogged down in whether he had a girlfriend or whether someone else had knobbed the girl first? The only debate should be about whether she was able to consent or not and whether she did indeed consent. In fact the real debate at this point, now he has been found not guilty, should really be about whether the case should even have gone to court in the first place and the wider debate about thresholds for taking rape cases to court. But no let's discuss cheating on girlfriends like a bunch of 15 year olds.

Lets not forget the girl, she didn't accuse him but was named and slandered on twitter, forced to move several times and harrassed by his family and friends, seems justice has been done but there are no winners in this
