Ched Evans - serious injury

Lets not forget the girl, she didn't accuse him but was named and slandered on twitter, forced to move several times and harrassed by his family and friends, seems justice has been done but there are no winners in this

That's right there are no winners but the accused is named the accuser is not. Anonymity protects the victim but who was the victim here?

He has done 2 and half years in prison for no crime. That's pretty shit. Even though he not guilty he will still be tagged with this forever.

They have both suffered but as everyone was slapping him on the back i thought i would balance it up and her name is out there that is why she has had to move around a lot

precisely this. The chap is innocent of any criminal act - we are in no position to judge him and rightly the case should not have gone this far. I wonder if Jessica Ennis will write a letter of apology along with all the other kneejerk judges who knew nothing about the case yet jumped to criticise an innocent person without knowledge.
Truly mob behaviour of the worst order and all because the system we have in this country is scandalously unfair to defendants in cases like this. The legal profession should hang their heads in shame - as should the police too
For me the first sentence there is completely irrelevant in every way. Why is anyone getting bogged down in whether he had a girlfriend or whether someone else had knobbed the girl first? The only debate should be about whether she was able to consent or not and whether she did indeed consent. In fact the real debate at this point, now he has been found not guilty, should really be about whether the case should even have gone to court in the first place and the wider debate about thresholds for taking rape cases to court. But no let's discuss cheating on girlfriends like a bunch of 15 year olds.

Why should she as he was a convicted rapist at the time

Ched Evans has done 2 and half years in prison and has been absolutely battered professionally. He did nothing wrong except cheat on his missus . That is not a crime and certainly not worth time in prison.

He never raped her.

I never said his treatment was fair just adding the other side of the story and she never accused him of rape,i'm not looking for a row here

This is as good an indicator as ever how society needs to change it's attitude towards men(misandry), even when found innocent, there's still an air of so what from too many and it happens time and time again.

The attitude of "oh well it's not me so who cares right?" just wont do or justifying it with "he's a dick anyway" what the fuck has that got to do with anything where is your moral integrity?

Just because he's a man it's ok it seems to be, change the sex to a woman and watch people clamber to show they care(or appear as though they do perhaps?) call me cynical but double standards like that make me question whether people only care when they feel like they are supposed to.

The man has suffered wrongly, he will be mentally scarred for life from his experiences... his family and friends too have suffered, why are people so stubborn and thick in the head when it comes to things like this? As adults with any moral standards we need to admit when we are wrong and say sorry when we need to etc... pretending it doesn't matter is absolutely sick, better to say nothing at all than that bollocks.

good point - did Jessica go to the trial ? did she hear evidence? I doubt it- noone should have judged the guy without full facts-and if they did they should be quick to apologise and perhaps as quick as they did when he was 'convicted'
we all swallow the bollocks the media feed us and it is time to stop and think a bit- plus there ain't too many paragons of virtue in this world who are in a position to cast aspersions on Evans

She has previous according to the BBC - It said that two other men who had sex with the woman had described their encounters with her in highly specific terms that were virtually indistinguishable from Mr Evans's own account of what had happened.
One of the encounters occurred days before the alleged rape - and the other in the days that followed.
On each occasion the woman had been drinking heavily and the sex occurred in a very specific way - including the words she used to encourage her partner.
Each time she woke up saying she had no memory of what had happened

The world has completely turned on its head. You just have to look at the difference in sentencing be
