It would have made much more sense for him to take a similar one, a little tee up and then a thunderbastard in wet conditions that could have led to something.
Thinking he could Ward-Prowse it into the top corner was fucking highly unlikely.
I fully expected a version of the former when he was lining it up.

I actually enjoyed the game, so much so that I actually caught myself reminding myself that it was only a game after all. The more goals went in, the slightly less tedious Carragher became, and the less irritating and intrusive VAR became.

I’ll be all right Saturday week though, and will eff and Jeff my way in flared-nostril, one-eyed lunacy in earnest hope of a scruffy 1-0, and bollocks to the beautiful game. Enjoy the international break, Blues. That bathroom won’t grout itself, you know.
