Chelsea (a) post match thread

? i get we haven't won, but how is the performance irrelevant ?. we played really well and lost to the champions. its not the end of the world. no win in four games against some really good teams swell.

can't begin to understand how someone can justify us not winning any of our last 4 games, or only 2 against the other top 5 all season. It's just an inexcusable set of results.

Gundogan was a great player his injuries have been horrific he's not coming back as good or better. Other teams will strengthen as well. We don't know who we will sign or whether they will be bonyesque or decent. To just say we will win everything next year given how average we currently are seems a tad ridiculous and I've been reading that for the past 4 seasons.

4 season!! are you Vivaldi? we won the title 3 seasons ago ffs.

Im not tryign to justify anything. my post was more about last nights game, which we played well in. its not 'inexcusable', its as if your saying its a disgrace, its not is it. 2 draws against arsenal and liverpool, losing to the champions and a poor result against stoke. its not inexcusable, its not the worst set of results.

Its a spoon fed media narrative and some just lap it up.

You will hear something said on the tv or written in the papers and within minutes on here its being trotted out as fact by someone.

Agree to an extent but also think you're being a tad verbose about our attacking play this season, it's been good, but it hasn't yielded the goals or points. When people tak about pragmatism, it's so you nullify your opposition. Playing midfield three of Silva, Dinho and KDB v Monaco who have scored for fun is negligent. Playing a high line with Kolarov, Zaba and Syones in v Leicester is shambolic.

I also don't believe that as a team, we've actually improved that much. The defence is a shambles, and if anything it's worse than under Pellegrini. The midfield is still massively disjointed and offers no cover, and the goalkeeping situation has reached farcical levels.

It's useless posters saying, "oh we've got a better defensive record these last nine games than Chelsea". What relevance is is that? The fact is we've conceded ten more than Chelsea, who have also scored five more.

He obviously cant win with you.You berate him for over ambition, then do similar when he is more conservative?

Sterling has been woeful this past few games,he didnt deserve to start.Nacho doesnt work well with Aguero, and i have my doubts about his overall quality.Unfortunately thats where our options end.

We should have won last night,we played far the better football, only poor fortune prevented that IMO.

How has Sterling been woeful? He had a bad 45 minutes against Arsenal in which he wasn't 100% as Pep said. International break he barely played but managed an assist. Liverpool at home he wasn't bad nor was he bad against Monaco away.

We lost at Monaco because Pep was pragmatic and played Fernandinho, a more defensive midfielder than Yaya.

The fact that people like you can't see that this team is most defensively secure when we play an attacking lineup which pins the opposition back and controls possession is actually quite sad at this point. It's not new anymore, we've been seeing this for 9 months.

So exactly like yesterday then? When Chelsea created 1 half good opportunity all night which would have been a regulation save if not for the deflection.

When pundits and commentators with no allegiance to City, or sometimes actively against City, say after the game they've never seen Chelsea create so little, or that they were hanging on for the whole game, but you think we didn't nullify them then it's clear you only see what you want to see.

Chelsea looked far more threatening in the second half than we did and it was evident with the chance Hazard missed. It's hilarious that you can actually defend that shower of shite that we served up last night.
