I think time has dulled the memory of last season, this season i feel like we're missing out due to individual moments, last season the whole performances were just poor.

Genuinely feel like we're not that far off, it is frustrating though.
 
If there's one thing that Chelsea have proven, it's that you need luck on your side! Deflected goal and a rebound from a pen says it all. Only thing has frustrated me is Peps timing of substitutions, needed them a lot sooner in the game. It was easy to see Chelsea got their act together, keeping aguero quiet and closing up the middle of the pitch. Much better from the lads though, with Kompany and delph getting a run out for the full 90. Keep the squad fit and we'll finish the season well.

He has a long way to go to get anywhere near Kompany's standard. Otamendi, Kolarov etc were never & never will be, good enough to tie his bootlaces.

We either need to find defenders mids as good defensively as the potential we have in attack. Or we need to be 50% better in attack.

What we have currently is not good enough to play attacking football & win leagues.
 
enough with blaming pep, chelsea have the far superior squad then us right now\

conte wouldnt be anywhere near where we are if he was in charge of this team

to be fair mate, i thought we were unlucky today and won't flap like the rest of the clowns on here but Hazard was shoulders above everyone on that pitch. If Sane turns out to be close to him then we will be very very lucky.

I agree. Some of his team selection this season has been close to madness. At Burnley away I called him a fraud. Some mard ****s on here didn't like it but I didn't give a fuck I was right. You simply cannot rotate in the prem. It'll come back and bite you. Let's hope he wakes up and smell a the coffee.
 
I take back all the bad stuff I said about Pellegrini last season, he quite clearly wasn't that bad with arguably a worse set of players last season.
 
Next year will be a different story. Easy to see our weaknesses and we must give Pep time to sort them out. One thought from tonight's game was how many fouls committed against Silva without caution from Dean - Kante must have made 8 fouls and only got booked at the end whereas our lads commit one foul and get booked. When you play like Chelsea did you need to keep players out of the book and the ref duly obliged.
