Chelsea (A) Post Match Thread

Pep Guardiola: "They made a movement down our left side and we could not control it. We played better than other days when we have won. The way we played in the first half was incredible. They had minimum chances and scored and in the second half we were there until the end."

Pep Guardiola: "It is emotional for me to see these players do what they do every three days. It is the level that it is. We were outstanding except for 5-8 minutes. We try to be champions. Everyone wants to beat us. Now it is recovery for the Champions League."

Need a left back Pep!

Poor. Sane and Sterling fucking about too much in their box and Sane not tracking his man. Criminal and rightly hooked.

2nd half just awful.

No point trying to dress this one up

Still don't understand why Pep played Mahrez up front and then took Sane off instead of him?

Stats are 38% v 62% procession 1 v 13 Corners 6 v 10 shots 5 v 4 on target 2 v 0 Yellows
I’m firmly in the Jesus should have started camp and hate Sterling in the false position mainly because it removes currently probably the best player in the world in that position from doing his job in that position. I also like a focal point and believe that Jesus although clearly out of goal scoring form offers a problem to defences and opens up space for Sterling and Sane.

Anyway shouldnt grumble about tactics as we were by far the better side until the 43rd minute and completely in the driving seat. Then the goal threw us. The timing of the goal threw us. The crowd pushed Chelsea on and they responded well to their good fortune, played to the crowd and defended exelently and second half and we didn’t have an answer

I know we don’t lose much any more but that one hurt. Really hurt...

It’s the hate for the dippers knowing they now have a duel incentive... only team unbeaten and top of the league... need to nip it in the bud quickly by 3rd of Jan as they are not dippers of last few years.. not the one we did in 2014.. they are more measured than previous pool sides.

Need to stop them soon before the media love in gathers momentum and translates into referring decions for them and us.

Awful day of footie that for us that. Awful.
Good post and IF we had taken the chances it would have been a cake walk

Have always said one game at a time.

We were the much better side until kante scored. 2nd half don't know what happened seemed to lack that spark we so often have.

It happens, that's football for you. Dust ourselves down and go again against Hoffenhiem on Wednesday

Key components missing and others like Silva and Sane well off it.

Walker's place must be under threat if he continues like in recent weeks.

It seems to have gone to his head last season, far too cocky in possession and attempting things above his pay grade.

Let Chelsea play ten yards further up pitch in second half.

It's really frustrating seeing Danilo play great against Bournemouth and it seemingly making no difference in Pep's mind when Walker is clearly off the pace after playing 80+ games since joining us.
