Chelsea (A) Post Match Thread

Imagine they won it, went unbeaten and broke our 100pt record after just one seaso. I apologise for putting that image in your heads but I’m feeling very down :(

Not a chance they’re getting 100 points

Their squad is nowhere near strong enough to sustain this form and their incredible good luck has to run out at some point too

Disappointing performance from City, but no complaints about the result. Chelsea the better team overall, and deserved the win. We never looked like scoring in the second half. Ah well, 4 toughest away fixtures out of the way & hopefully we’ll have Agüero and De Bruyne back soon.

Bad day at the office today but still s long way to go, by next Sat we will be back on top , and we will stay there, I've a feeling Utd will get something from the Liverpool game

first of all, to those who are reading the forums and thinking of becoming a BMer, believe it or not it's not compulsory to find fault with everyone including the manager, and even the kit-man....inevitably it gets a bit ott, after a drop-off from the 24 carat stuff we now demand of every game.
From a kfa point of view, the two Silvas were starved of opportunity to play the one-two's that create something out of nothing . Chelsea squeezed the area we normally dominate, showed grit and worked hard. Two teams on the pitch, obvious, but sometimes gets forgotten in the inquest.
I think the expectations of quite a few, that KdB will come back and hit peak form straightaway is a bit optimistic, fantastic player though he is. We have won so often without him, he is really the cherry on a very tasty cake

Look at chelsea back 8 when we had the ball they made it very hard to break them down plus there closing down on the wings doubling up on our players! Sarri game plan was park the bus and they did it better than any mourinho side! Once they scored fair dos second half they were very good.

I think the key is your last sentence. We are 16 games in and we have already played the four toughest away games. Our rivals still have those games to play and they all have to come to us.

it’s far too early for doom and gloom.

To be fair, Liverpool have also been to Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea already (getting five points compared to our six). They still have to come to us too though.
