Chelsea (A) Post Match Thread

He wasn't, you need to put your bias down.

From the MoTM thread....

Sorry, stats mean nothing when the blokes giving the ball away on the edge of his own box 3 times in the first 30 mins, he's a massive liability.

Laporte was benched for less

He was awful in the first half but much improved in the second tbf.
He can’t be caught napping in possession like that again on Wednesday against a team that break and transition much better than Chelsea did

Much much better performance. Moved the ball quicker and got the rewards. For a change we also got the breaks- the rebound off the post falling to kdb, the tackle on Foden sending the ball to zinchenko for the 1st goal and unbelievably VAR didn’t find a way to screw us over for the penalty claim against Rodri

Rodri had a terrible first 15 minutes or so but him being so dreadful meant they over-pressed him and left huge gaps for others to exploit.

He improved after that but wasn't under such pressure

Those first two goals were things of beauty. Gundo's turn left Silva dead in the water, and he tucked it away expertly. And Kun would have been proud of the finish from Phil. That was not an easy finish, but he made it look easy. The third goal was a bit "Keystone Cops", mind!

crazy stuff from Chelsea for the 3rd there last man was well into our half. Good head by Kev to drop into Sterling’s path though and then following it up with a run that started on the edge of our box.
