Chelsea (A) Post Match Thread

Gundo was the player Pep wants him to be. Brilliant!! He was a real threat. Kev looked sluggish, but still has those killer passes to unlock them. Foden, well, what energy and desire. His goal was absolute class. If Kane or one of the other media darlings does that, there would be a wankathon of global proportions.
Diaz and Stones will be furious with Zinch for fucking up their clean sheet record.
I’m the harshest critic of Raz, but he looked like the Raz of old, burning past defenders for fun, great to see.
Bernardo was a real pest. His work rate and constant movement must be an absolute nightmare for his marker.

Please please please let’s have this intensity and desire v The Rags. It will be beautiful to watch them squirm.
Good points,
but I won't say Zin was the reason for the last goal.

Stones decided to leave his position and step out,
Rodri was filling Stone's position,
we suddenly had a counter situation and no surprise their attackers were a bit quicker than Rodri/Dias/Zin.

Zin was just being the last part of the chain of mistakes.

Stones holds his position and we stand solid in defence like the rest of the match.

I feel any team that can put a good run of 6 or more wins together will win the league. With the coming fixtures I hope pep and the team seize that opportunity as I genuinely feel even 5 wins and a draw from the next 6 could put the team 3 or more points ahead such is inconsistency in performances from everyone. With the foundation of the backline and sterling and de bruyne slowly rediscovering some form I'm fairly optimistic about the teams chances

spot on, as Stones went on his marauding charge I thought "not now, you know what will happen" and it did. Bit daft at that point and was the main factor in them scoring

as a lot this season watched the game again this morning and this was not the same team we have been watching this season ? the control was amazing the movement special but the desire to break the lines and go forward WOW

the game was over in the first half and city did not need to push and go again in the 2nd half and ok we can pick at the chelsea goal. but the game was over long before they scored and city had so many gears to go up in the 2nd if they wanted to

2 players made the difference B.silva was a work horse in that midfield and gundogan was outs standing going forward pep defo change the system and took the chains off and the forward movement was glowing and a pleasure to see

lets hope we keep the same ideas and system for the rest of the season because going forward nobody can touch us and to think we still not playing a striker ???

Rather bring Harrison back from Leeds as quick as possible
Yep. Good honest player without histrionics of Grealish.
in fact, i can't think of a worse signing for us than Grealish. Off field bother. on field cheating and comes across as arrogant (i may be totally wrong on this). That's 3 sticks to beat us with.

Scousers and the odd lot still have to play each other twice, starting with their next game. We should be aiming for maximum points from the next six league games, five of which are against teams in the bottom seven and four of the six at home

Those first two goals were things of beauty. Gundo's turn left Silva dead in the water, and he tucked it away expertly. And Kun would have been proud of the finish from Phil. That was not an easy finish, but he made it look easy. The third goal was a bit "Keystone Cops", mind!
