Of course, it's adventurous. But he tried it twice last year against Chelsea and we were unlucky, with worse personnel (Delph Clichy, Navas all started the second game, Nolito also made an appearance, Caballero etc.) Danilo aside everybody would be playing in a natural position.

The way Pep works isn't to try and double up on Hazard, or Moses etc. But to stop the supply in the first place. And he has the ballers to do that in midfield by retaining the ball, and the wide players to keep their full backs on their toes.

It will be an intresting match. and a good one.
on paper we have stronger team all around, and we have the abilty to out-play them if we get to controle the ball as we did with watford and Liverpool.
I predict it wil be 0-4 city or draw with goals.
i think either SSJ front or AJ if pep feels Augro is not to tired.
the good thing is we have had one more day rest to CHE, but for sure it will be an entertaining match :)

That's quite a swing there fella :)

David Luiz is still missing for them isn't he ? evens out the back 4 for me now
For me if David Luis is missing Chelsea will defend better, but not counter attack with quite the same level of ferocity. So probably of benefit to them...

3-6-1 could work though. I think the best way beating this Chelsea team is to out number them in midfield.
You may be right but I thing both Aguero AND Jesus will play with Jesus in a deeper role so more likely a 3-5.-1-1 formation. I'll go
........................Ederson
...........Danilo Stones Otamendi
Walker KDB Fernandinho Merlin Delph
..........................Jesus
.........................Aguero

Sane and Sterling to come on as 2nd half subs against a tiring defence.

Pedro creates for Chelsea, Morata destroys.
Going to miss Mendy's runs down the left and fantastic crosses into the box.
2-2.

I think we have more options to change the game on our bench no matter what lineup we start with personally.

Yes but there's less chance of Aguero being sent off for 'doing him' as he seems to loathe him.

Pep needs to protect the defence a bit more than has been the case up to now. We conceded plenty of chances (not goals) to far worse sides than Chelsea so far. if we do the same on Saturday we will get punished make no mistake. 4-5-1 for this one. Need to not lose, anything else will be a bonus. I think Chelsea are still our closest rivals for the title. Biggest test so far.
