I'd love it if Raheem bags today. Bit weird this from the crock.

Regardless of his talent I'm happy that Hazard turned us down - he's an annoying little shit. I hope Raheem's seen that vid and it fires him up, I'll be disappointed if he doesn't start today. Sane, GJ and Sterling as a front three, please.

Im getting the same feeling about this game as I do about the rag games, I suppose because its so much in focus in the media, and now this latest news re Aguero seems like we are jinxed. It feels like a bad omen on top of the unexpected Mendy injury, Vincent is a huge miss as well.
Apart from the loss of these 3 players I feel Otamendi is our weaklink, I think they will pull him wide attacking down the channels and he will become isolated out wide and through lack of speed end up on his arse again. Really wish Vinny was fit.
Wonder if Pep will play 3 or 4 at the back ?

Its vital that Pep motivates these lads psychologically, dont want a repeat of last season when we fell apart after losing DeBruyne and Spurs shit all over us.
Remembering what happened last season in the 2 games against the chavs is frustrating as we couldve easily won both games but when KDB missed that tap in it seemed we were doomed.
Id definitly keep KDB in his deeper role as I think our defence is profiting from him being nearer to Fernandinho.
Anyway my line up would be;

-------------------Ederson------------------------
Walker-----Stones----Otamendi-----Danillo
---------------Fernandinho------------------------
--------De bruyne-------D. Silva------------------
Sterling-----------Jesus-------------Sane---------
If he plays Ota in a back four, he will be fine. It's when he is asked to play in a three that he struggles due to pace. I think pep will know that Ota isn't as quick as he would like and will afford him that protection today

I see 55 voters think we will lose.
Has there been any game in the last 2, 3, or 4 years where the losing votes have been this high or higher. - over to you mods.

I'm old school, I don't think I've ever voted for anything other than a win...

You never know...

"Massive game today"...

I am a bit anxious about this one, with the Aguero news the team must feel a bit shaken up. I think Ferna and Gundo in midfield for tomorrow. This is a game that if we can not win we shouldn't lose, Still think we will edge it. 2-1 for City
I'm not sure they will be shaken up enough to affect their performance. Wouldn't be surprised if Aguero has been joking with them since he got back

Whilst I never get depressed or elated this early in the season, I really feel if we can win today, after the week we've had, that we'll take some stopping.

I think having only one forward help someone pep
He would want to play one up front but is trying to fit Jesus and Sergio in
Now he can do what he wants and pack midfield
For me we need gundogan in next few weeks
He has quality and can transition from defence to attack quickly
Not sure how fit he is
Think pep is still trying to get Bernardo used to prem so away at Chelsea may be too much too soon for him

Mainly due to injuries, the team pretty much picks itself right now depending on how Pep wants to set up which is a little unusual given at the start of the season we were on about being able to rotate seamlessly with no drop in quality. Big game, it's not a must win but it's a must not lose. The pressure is on Chelsea more than us to get a result, if Pep sets up right that could play into our hands nicely.

Been very quiet over the past few years, just watching all the negativity and spitefullness towards gods own club...

I hope the players do get too see the fact they are being mocked by a diving cheat, smug failed x players, Geoff Stelling is a prime helm and as for Simon Jordan, he needs to worry about looking less like Sally Gunnel than the fact that it would appear city have such an average squad ...

Haters gunna hate

I hope Raz scores a hat trick and celebrates by diving in front of Hazard

Love a big game day. Come on City.

With all the stuff gone against us this week, time too rally and put Chelsea to the sword!!

As always it's difficult to second guess Pep

Think it will be 4-5-1 come 4-3-3 with Danilo left back

Possibly Bernardo wide right, but wouldn't be surprised if Gundogan started to help Fern

If Gundogan does start then either Silva or KDB would end up starting too wide for my liking, and Sane would be benched, so I'm hoping for

Bernardo, KDB, Fernandinho, Silva, Sane, with Jesus up top

Bench - Bravo, Mangala, Delph, YaYa, Gundogan, Sterling, Foden

That's team picks itself today for me, which of course means it won't look anything like that. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bernardo instead of Sterling for ball retention and higher possession, and he might well just shove Delph at LB again.

Worth remembering the last time a game like this got hyped up and Aguero got injured we went to the swamp and played them off the park for 45 minutes and won 2-1.
