Good team. Expected kovacic in for alvarez but otherwise spot on. No ake means we've got no defenders on the bench after just 2 defensive injuries, we seriously need a defender in Jan.

Stones and Ake are injured, why would we sign someone else?

Surprised, but delighted, to see Doku in the XI. I thought that Pep might have erred on the side of caution and opted for the (in theory) greater control that Jack might have offered in midfield. I guess Pep knows slightly more about this management nonsense than I do.

Very harsh on Grealish though, he deserved to start and would rather see him on the pitch because I’m not sure what else he’s supposed to do?

Worrying to see Ake out completely - really hope it’s not too serious as we’re thinner on defensive options now. Fingers crossed for him and at least it’s just before the international break.

Tough on Grealish who I think has been brilliant since returning from injury. C'mon, City!!!

Id have been tempted to play him again if bernaedo is in thesame role he had v the rags. Those two were unplayable together
