They will chooses him again for this season, rarely the players choose another captain after one season, Walker will keep to be club captain until he retire or left another club.
Probably, and he’ll be captain every time Pep picks him. If Pep picks him and the players want him as captain then thats all there is to it.

Nice day outside birds are singing and kenny g is blowing his own horn. He must be really flexible

Toughest start possible. Chelsea will want to right a lot of wrongs from last season and get off to a flyer and what better way than taking the biggest scalp of them all. They've also got Europe's hottest young attacking midfielder in Palmer + another season like last year and he'll be off to Madrid for £130m+. He will be out again to show that the Palmer thread is right and we should never have sold him and for the paltry sum we did. Their whole team will be up for this and we'll still be resting players - God knows how long they need off.

Anyway, if we get 1-1 today I think we'd take it and move on. A point at fortress Stamford Bridge is a great point.
Apart from Villa away, Liverpool away and Bournemouth away where we were outplayed by all three, Chelsea were one of our toughest opponents last season. I thought Chelsea were harder to play against than Madrid were.

A couple of things though - Pochettino (who seems to have tactics that Pep always struggles against) isn’t there anymore, and Gallagher who played like a man possessed against us won’t be playing.

However, it also looks like Rodri won’t be playing for us and we haven’t won a game without him for what feels like years.

So a draw will definitely be a good point today. Really looking forward to this, I think it’s always better to have a tough game to start the season with, heightens everyones’ focus and intensity.

That's the frustrating thing. Why isn't Rodders good to go? Mbappe got to the semis and played in the super cup last week.

Not being match fit is piss poor, in my opinion.
He played through the KO stages of the Euros with an injury and came off at half time in the final.

Hamstring, I think.

We've flogged him for several seasons. The least he deserves is easing in a bit later than everyone else. He'll still wind up with more minutes this season than anyone else.

I'd rather him come back fully refreshed than pick up an injury halfway through the season.

Mbappe has been prancing around for psg the last 8 years, it's hardly the same workload that rodri has had to deal with.

Anyone got a problem with ‘Rodders’ needs to give their head a wobble and realise just how lucky we are to have him…….he can have the first 2 or 3 weeks off and still be worth more to us than most players in the prem - most important player in our team bar none.
