We know full well (and more importantly other teams know) that we always start slow and shite but come February batter every **** in sight.

These days would for example Arteta take being 10 points clear of City at Christmas if offered it now? No fucking chance.

That’s how much Pep has changed the game. All about smashing people in the run in.


So yeah who gives a shit about Chelsea in August haha. Keep your trotters on the deck chair Rodri, Foden, all the main lads.

I won’t be arsed if we narrowly lose, given the circumstances, as long as we put in a hardworking performance.

I would be arsed if we lose 5-nil, though, as I don’t think there is any excuse for losing that comprehensively to this Chelsea side.

Savinho and Doku both starting could either be the most mouth-watering thing we've witnessed since the days of Sane/Sterling 2018, or it could be glass cannon stuff.

Glad Sterling isn't in their squad today. His pace causes us problems and he scores against us too. They obviously want his wages off the books.

Mudryk is young and can develop. Raheem is older, if he is not good enough to start it's better to lean towards potential.

It’s probably more to do with Mudryk being on a 36 year contract than on playing ability.

Exciting team, although I'm slightly worried about our shape defensively to be honest.

Got to be crushing for Jack. Really good pre-season, one niggle in training and he's back behind Doku in the pecking order.

Think it’s more likely that he is not 100% & to be used only if needed. Pep doesn’t give ratings to players like the fans do!

It’s probably more to do with Mudryk being on a 36 year contract than on playing ability.

Agreed he may not be better presently, but he is younger and on a longer contract, it's in Chelsea's interest to prioritize Mudryk if the difference is close.
