Since Pep took over Chelsea away has been a real barometer for our season. In 17/18, 20/21 and 21/22 wins there have set us up to win the league, we lost in 16/17 and 19/20 and ended up losing the league. Only 18/19 did we lose and go on to win the league. So winning in Chelsea has been a great omen for the season.
The other thing is it’s 3 wins and 3 losses in the last 6 visits. So very few draws.
It’s hard to know how both teams will set up, it seems as though we’ve been playing with the hand brake on but if we turn up we’re almost unstoppable. As for Chelsea, they seem to be in real transition and Potter needs results. No doubt he’ll target this one to set down a marker. It would appear that so far he’s struggling to get his ideas across as it’s hard to see what Chelsea are trying to do.
The usual rules which work everywhere (bar Spurs and Liverpool) apply tonight, if we turn up and play we should win.
