Chelsea (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

IF that was at klanfield or at utd both clubs would of got the penalty by Var .
We are not helping ourselves though with these highline defence tactics & shoe horning Alverez & Akanji into midfield.
Haaland is a class player no doubt about that ,but i do question him in a Pg team when the going gets tough .
He would be more suited to R Madrid .

No way the PGMOL will allow the Klopp fairwell tour to be defeated at Anfield by us.
Been saying that since his farewell announcement. And before that cos the cartel and pigmol don't want 4 City wins on the bounce.

Mind we have helped them in the cause with so many lost point draws and failure to convert chances. Today being a prime exhibit A.

It’s embarrassing to see and read City fans acting like we just lost the League when we still have to play the two teams ahead of us, and we have a game in hand over them!

Win on Tuesday and we are 1 point off the top!

This team showed they will go for 95 minutes against the most stubborn of defences, but if we are going to play a CB in midfield, we have to ensure the other 3 are defending! Having Walker play right wing with Akanji in midfield is leaving Dias and Ake to defend 1 on 1 with rabbits up front!!

Sorry, but this is all on Pep, soon as I saw that team I knew we were fucked. Rest Stones and Bernardo in game vs Brentford. Why the fuck would you put Foden super glued to right touch line against Chelsea to accommodate Alvarez?

Title is gone , because arsenal and Liverpool will take some stopping.

Well it nice to see Marvin the paranoid Android on board. If recent history tells us anything it’s not to write this team off.

Get your big boys pants on buckle up and enjoy the run in.

I’m often told we have the best fans in the world. This forum tries very hard on occasion to make that claim laughable.
Haaland had a poor game in front of goal. It happens.
We deserved to win that by pretty much every metric and when you add in the way we are blatantly reffed different to everyone else it’s a measure of how good this team is that we are still in the hunt.
Proper Fanny’s.
Mentally weak cunts.

That last minute penalty btw, I am convinced it is. He moves his arm to the ball and changes its momentum and direction. I just cannot for the life of me understand why no one else thinks it was a penalty.
Forgetting the handball there was a clear pull on Dias shirt that pulled him down and stopped him heading it

I mean I appreciate that you appear to be the administrator of his fan club, but the fact that he played a huge part in the dropping of 2 points is ultimately relevant.
My point stands. You had no need to repeat the post. And re the "administrator" jibe, which is stupid, I could say the same about you being the leader of his haters on here.

Far too many centre halves in possession in the last 3rd. Akanji is woeful in there as is Dias. Poor team selection exasperated by some woeful individual performances has cost us 2 points. Any more below par performances and its going to be a big ask to retain our title.

Disastrous result, it really does look like we want to do it the hard way this season. We made Chelsea look half decent and they fully deserved the draw.

Looks like we’re going to have to win at Anfield.
Will never happen. We could play the perfect game but every season we are fucked over by officials esp there. Expect Oliver/Taylor with Tierney/Pawson/Attwell on Var

Overall, a poor performance. Too many players not coming up to their usual standard. Still; take the draw, and get the hell out of dodge.
Yeah
Returning from a bruising win in Copenhagen told today. Back at it during the week and hopefully get that win v Brentford

That team selection cost us.

Twice against Chelsea he's picked the wrong team, a team so open to the counter. Things got better for us once Bernardo came on. Alvarez, Doku and Haaland together just doesn't really work, they're too sloppy on the ball. We need another midfielder to get their foot on the ball and move it quickly so they can do the damage in the final third.

Disappointing result and performance and pressure on the Brentford game now.

Given the refereeing I saw in both the Liverpool and City games, I'm absolutely sure how it's going to be there.
We know we will be playing 12 men , but its down to us to overcome the odds , we never go there and lie down and the Dippers the only chance of winning the league is by beating us , all the pressure is on them.
One title in 35 years and Klippety riding off into the sunset means this is their last chance of a title.

Normally I’m quite relaxed about results like this as I try not to let them get to me the same but this feels like a loss tonight.
