Good job we just knackered Rodri for 90 minutes. Poor game management from Pep, ending that game with Cherki and Foden on the pitch baffles me and we paid for it.

NOR poor for the goal.

Ake too - who was shit from the moment he came on, first touch was a trampoline every time, can’t believe we have the audacity to value him at £25m, should just cut our losses and thank you for the service but time to go.

If Gvardiol’s injury is serious then we’re fucked. Same with Dias. I’d be getting on the blower to Palace for Guehi immediately.

Haaland poor again too. Won a couple of headers but other than that he was his usual lethargic self and nowhere near clinical enough in recent weeks/months. Foden the same, form has dropped off a cliff.

And don’t get me started on Bernardo. His role in this team is to run. That’s not enough or we may as well use Kalvin fucking Phillips. He’s poor on the ball and seems to have mistaken captaincy for needing false aggression.

Nunes (again!) and Rodri the only ones who can stand tall after that IMO. The Don too. And maybe Khusanov. Reijnders too.

League gone IMO. Arsenal are very good - shocking to watch, but very good. And too steady to not win it from here on in.
 
Our total inability to get a second goal made that game difficult for us , and a nervous watch .... i could see that equaliser coming from the start of the 2nd half, and basically from a Chelsea team who are hardly any great shakes themselves ..... very poor from City ..... but what did we really offer apart from a Reijnders goal, and a Haaland shot that came back off the post??.

You could sense what the game would end up like from our first 15 mins of sloppy play. Miss cued passes, snails pace etc..Chelsea of course sat back but we were so complacent, youth team manager, stepping they will be clueless etc... we were terrible. What should have happened is we should have gone for the jugular first 15... really got at 'em with quick passing, you can mess up a few 1 - 2's in their 3rd by trying to play quick..that wouldn't have hurt us as they had all their men around their own 18 yrd box. What did we do...let them settle into that easy deep bank of 5 and 4..they coasted it because we were far too complacent. Got what we deserved... I lost my dad on NYE 83...City through and through Collyhurst lad... he was saying our complacency kills us...God rest his soul..you were right auld fella. Our crowd didn't help.... we hardly make it intimidating do we. Must be a breeze playing us with regards to that - even when we really needed it. V Sunderland, I thought we were great, right at it, excellent game..tonight...woeful.

You said or, not and. One or the other, not both.

Also, you are claiming one injury more than a few games is "literally" going to make them come 3rd. You have to see how that is not the same as compromising a title push.
 
Arsenal have taken 5 plus years of a shit ton of money and repeated failures to get to this point. So they have a better, deeper squad.

We're one year into a rebuild since the Premier leagues greatest ever side.

Winning the league with this squad was always fanciful. But we're not doing too badly.

Next year we'll be better.

On the recent showings CL is well out of reach.

Hopefully an FA cup win will sprinkle some shine on the season..

Pep cost us the 2 points today. No reaction to their half time change where they put the extra midfielder on which gave them control. Keeping Chirki on who had an awful game was a mistake but our.bench was pathetically weak with very little options but it was obvious when we reverted back to our “let’s come out shit” 2nd half we needed more in the middle.
Our attacking in the final third is awful. Why are we, as a team, so poor at finishing.

Get Semenyo in asap and if a top class midfielder is available then it’s a no brainier. If not, wondering with our injuries if anyone solid if not spectacular is available on loan. Really need a proper 2nd striker option also.

Arsenal showed a clinical side to their game last night ...... we didn't tonight !

I thought Silva was brilliant today, absolutely everywhere.
He was badly let down by Cherki, Foden and Haaland.

Tij should have moved into fodens spot, Foden needs a game on the bench.

All that said, as a team we are still short of having enough to win a title. So all these little tweaks are by the by.
