Fucking

Fucking criminal mate that’s what it is and sorry but pep should fuck off with this small squad bollox and di what every other manager does and while he preaches this small squad bulkshit he needs to renenber that if was a full squad that where centurions and also domestic treble and if j remember rightly we also had a good bench in the treble season .

When pep says a small squad he means 18 first team players at moment at Beginning of the season we had 25 players with half of them pep don’t trust and 2/3 of them injury prone! The recruitment been poor and pep not playing the like of Khosovnov in a few premier games to rest Gvardiol or Dias is and but it’s that trust again! Pep is one of the best managers ever but when you see us so fatigued and wouldn’t throw a fast kid on for the energy like a lot of managers would do it’s mad! Maybe a kid comes on and scores or help pep mind set is he ain’t ready and if that young player does something bad it could effect him! A lot of managers don’t care how there players feel pep cares so much for his players! You saw him after the game arms around Foden pep will know he was bad but he want to comfort him pick him up!

Is it just me but I thought Haaland had a very good game without scoring.
I just do not get where all the dreadful comments are coming from.
Goes for every player.
Disappointed losing that injury time goal but none of our players were dreadful.yesterday
I thought we gave everything but were exhausted. I felt sorry for the players at the end. Chelsea didn't deserve a point but that's football. A 1-0 scoreline is always dangerous.

The injuries are what hurts. In a 38 game season you can recover from a couple of back to back draw but if they are accompanied by serious injuries, then that is another matter as it affects the potential of the team.

A winning side has a good bench by definition. City are 2nd after 1 year of re-building. Man Utd have spent 13 years in the wilderness after spending hundreds of millions. Arteta has spent over £1B on his side. The good bench will come with time.

My issue is with the defenders bought last season. The whole point was to use them in these types of difficult periods. Nowhere to be seen. Only for OReilly and nunes we would be in a proper fucked up situation(midfielders) after spending a fortune on young cbs. The transfer decisions have been, not working but certainly not the solution. We didn’t know that then or maybe we did. Pep didn’t want inexperienced cbs. He said as much, Soriano pushed for youth. It was not the way. Again, we Did know that stones and Ake were both crocked and we again took the chance that they could play some games. Mistake after mistake, understandable but still a recruitment mistake. Buying “could” turn into class instead of class is hit and miss. Donna, we bought class and it shows every match. Need the same for defence now and the wing.

A midfield of nico and rodders has huge potential. No wonder we after a younger player in Anderson.

Pep has been consistently plugging holes. Only for his coaching and ability to convert players we would be in a far worse situation. It gets abused when we need to make the financials work or we make a bad buy.
soriano is busy at city i bet he's knackard telling DOF to buy youth , stopping transfer to spurs, shafting people where they yes involved ticket pricing yes involed and running CFG i'd bet booking acts at co=op live

We were fatigued because we played on Thursday, whilst Chelsea played on Tuesday.

I disagree about the recruitment. I think it's been good. You would have broken up KDB and Walker earlier? We couldn't.

Got what we deserved

Bernie, Cherki, Foden dross. At least Bernie ran around a bit.

Everyone running on empty.

Slow, horrible decision making in the final third.

They'll be running on fumes against Brighton, it'll not be pretty.

Really don't understand the tactics of clogging the middle.
Foden and Cherki playing inside with O'Reilly and Nunes providing the width has been a brilliant tactic.

We drew because we couldn't get a 2nd, and we were exhausted. Two bad injuries, possibly more in a game, didn't help.

I agree Brighton is now a difficult game.

Whilst as gutted as the rest of us with the late goal on reflection I remain upbeat.

No lack of effort. We just needed a second goal. Any team that loses both centre half in a game would be In trouble. Especially with our schedule

Think it’s Arsenals year but regardless no need for doom and gloom.

Yeah you are right I forgot we played a very hard game away at Sunderland where another referee let a team kick us of the park!

The players were overthinking of what they were doing or before passing each time. The flow was not smooth at all.

Trying to be positive, seeing rodders back and doing his stuff so well is a sight for sore eyes, he obviously tailed off second half but still great to have him back.
He oozed class. It just shows that there are things you can't train - it's natural, otherwise all our midfielders would have picked up some tips. The same as the way Mahrez could control a crossfield pass with one touch - you either have it or you don't.

As for yesterday's game. We had the chances and blew them. The one that sticks in my mind was Foden trying to play Haaland in when there was a much better pass to Cherki. Haaland made the run, and because of who he is he took the defenders with him leaving Cherki wide open. Foden missed it.

We were 3 minutes from a deserved win without being at our best …..that’s what champions do…..so the press keep telling us about the media darlings Arsenal !

However, when reality sets in we are not good enough to win the league this season but we have made huge progress on last season.

in our previous league winning sides we had at least seven elite players and in a comparison with any of our challengers at the time all of those players would get into the other contenders team.

At the moment only Donnarumma, a fit Rodri and Haaland would make the Arsenal starting line up.

I have high hopes for Cherki, O’Reilly and I think Khushanov given a chance will become elite, but the rest although potentially very good are not at the level….I include Foden in this because of his failure to influence a game that someone of his ability should be able to.

I think we should comfortably make top 4 ( mainly due to the poor quality of the rest of the Premiership) and at least we are still involved in all competitions.

To make the next step we need to go for quality before next season….similar to our Summer transfers in 2010 and 2017.

This highlights an important point.

When Arsenal’s CBs were both out (at the same time) the 2 they brought in were very good and there was hardly any drop off, if any.

When they need a goal, they can bring on Trossard, Martinelli, Havertz, Jesus etc. our bench is full of 12 year olds and a 19 stone Nathan Ake.

Our first 11 is very good but the depth just isn’t there. Remember the days when we had 4 top CBs and 4 top strikers?

We were getting overrun in the last 20 minutes’ of Attack vs Defence and the team was crying out for an extra body in midfield.

Looking at the bench, we should have swapped Cherki for Lewis and told him not to wander away from the middle of the park or go into the Chelsea half!

4-5-1 with Doku tucking in on the left, and an outlet when we had the ball!

Only 3 subs used with players dead on their feet?!

If there are players on the bench that are not fit to wear the shirt, then we shouldn’t kid them into thinking they are.
This is exactly how i saw it.

reijnders is an enigma - besides his goal he did very little again and he disappeared .....Phil and Cherki werent good either but Reijnders is just so poor Im afraid....his goal scoring shouldnt take away fromthe fact that he doesnt defend at all and goes missing for large parts of the game...every game
Fuck me is TJ your new scapegoat now jack's gone??

Are we not where we expected to be before the season? We were 3rd favourites for the PL, which felt about right

So I've got no concerns with where we are at currently, we are trending upwards and we are not a bad side, just an unbalanced one. Problem is, we are always going to compare this side with arguably the greatest English teams of all-time.

We are part way through a rebuild and a lot of our signings have been developmental projects, so I think we are a minimum of a season away from getting close to being the dominant side. Sprinkle in a top midfielder and centre half and we're nearly there
