Fuck me, I had to do a double take on that Souness comment. Couldn't believe I'd heard it right.
 
Watching it all back on Sky Sterling was even better than I thought at the game. Speed off the mark was sensational. Took his two goals very well. Thought we totally bossed the second half just as we did v the Gooners when it would have been easy to just play keep ball.

It does look like they've made a bad choice with the keeper for the money he cost. Gundogan's goal today isn't the first soft one he's let in this season.

The only time Chelsea played well was when we took our foot off the gass and sat deeper, inviting them on to us. Anyone with half an ounce of football knowledge could see that. Heard some muppet on the radio claiming to be a City fan saying Chelsea gave us one of our toughest tests, I think not. After going 4 up we sat back, let them have possession whilst creating nothing and saw the half out. In the 2nd half we moved up to third gear for about 10 minutes, grabbed a 5th and 6th, pressed them up the pitch, they created nothing and we saw the game out in a truly professional manner. Chelsea gave us a good game, dream on sunshine.

If they win vs the supposedly transformed united next week and do the business in Europe I can’t see why they’d get rid just now. I’m sure some of their fans/hierarchy would be happy to put his assistant in charge, but no need to knee jerk now. It did seem like sky trying to set the agenda for the Monday (an beyond) news cycle.
Certainly don’t think Neville or any other united fan (or hack) will be sorry to see all this stirred up pre-cup this week

What was great about today was that Chelsea didn't play badly. It was a brilliant performance from City, one of the best I have seen in over 50 years. It was a privilege to be there. We are witnessing true greatness now and we have to go on and confirm that status by winning at least three trophies. Bernardo was world class today. I wouldn't swap him for any other midfield player in the world. Incredibly he has outperformed KDB and David Silva this season.

He blew both Azpilicueta and Rudiger away for pace. That was genuinely frightening today.

They had some nice intricate passing around our box at times but I’m not sure if this was down to put players taking the foot too far off the gas when 4-0 up. Ederson made a couple of decent saves.

Despite the size of the win, I actually thought KDB looked a bit rusty at times today. Frightening what this team will do on a day when they all click. Chelsea must be shitting themselves for that final. Think it will be closer that day though.

I thought Chelsea played well first half .we at one stage we both hadwe chances we scored 4 .another day another dollar
 
Normally souness winds his neck in regarding City cos his Mrs would fuckin hit him with the rolling pin when he got home but fuck me he was hurting today

It does bode well for the cup, Having said that, It's a new game, A cup final where anything is possible. We dominated the first 40 minutes at Stamford Bridge, We were relentless up until we got hit on the break. Same could happen in the cup final. Chelsea looked really threatening in the final third in the first half.
Let's hope we start off all guns blazing again like we did today.
