Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

It's the fall back position to any criticism, comment, analysis, discussion. As though raising any such things is somehow being the subversive enemy within and they're the self-appointed guardians of the club.
Bigger fans.
It's not their stance that's necessarily wrong and it is a forum afterall, but the way they go about belittling and using these fall back point scoring comments. Of course 999 times out of 1000 Pep gets it right and knows better.
I would imagine he sat back on sat night and thought to his self I’ve got this one wrong which he is entitled to.

Don’t think so, he did what I expected him to do, what I thought he should do well before Saturday. I still think he was right after the result and I would hazard a guess he does too.

You can get away with making wholesale changes against lower level teams but not a champions league and fa cup finalist which had already done us with this reserve team .

I don’t think anyone has any issue with any discussion about right and wrong.
The problem is there are some Tom Jill and Harry’s on here that can’t wait to criticise pep after every defeat which is not objective.

There are loads of reasons, not to say we can’t lose we can, but we are favourites, because we are better than them. Do they have better players than Haaland , Mbappe, Neymar at breaking no. So yes they scored 3 in the 2 games against us mainly because we didn’t play Walker and Zinchenko, we also didn’t play a front 5 that presses like KDB ,Bernardo, Foden Gundogan Mahrez In the final we will.

Of late, I'm genuinely not sure that's true. They've been extremely good. We've lost to Leeds, United and to them as well, twice. Rotation or no rotation, it still have an impact on momentum and mentality.

Depends what get away with means. If you mean win then no we didn’t get away with it. If you mean letting players recover and rest without hurting our prospects of winning the league then we probably will have got away with it and will benefit from it. That’s my perspective and it’s a fair chance it’s still Peps perspective.
Might not be yours or others but I doubt Pep regrets it.

It had no impact in any of the other champions league games and won’t now.
