Superb result and,despite the scoreline,an absolute schooling without our inspirational leader.

Bernie was outstanding,MOTM

Particularly pleased with Sterling,first half more so....he has the hunger and desire again,and is looking like the player of 3 seasons back - i'll be more than happy if that version signs a new contract.

Laporte also impressed,his presence was crucial and he took on the mantle of leader in Ruben's absence.

Mention for Foden too,he ran himself daft and looked knackered at the end,i thought he maybe should have come off 10 mins earlier.

An awesome day at the office.

but the champions league and before it the european cup is a lottery
