I absolutely get that this is a football forum and as such all events will be seen through that lens. But some of the stuff posted about all this would be better suited to RAWK. The funeral on Sunday is going to be the biggest event in this country ever. Every head of state in the world will be there, it is a huge terrorist risk, and that’s before you factor in the many millions of grief tourists and Londoners attending. As a policing operation it is unparalleled in the history of the UK and they’ve got one week. Yet people seem to expect the playing or not of certain football matches to be the priority. I am genuinely sorry for people who get inconvenienced or frustrated at a lack of news, but some perspective is needed.
It's a simple case of on or off, like I have said previously on here recently, calling off last weekends was a disgrace, but would understand them to be off this weekend, especially capital games.
But the funeral isn't till Monday morning,so if the games get the go ahead, play them all Saturday, and bring the Sunday games forward, they dither with decisions, and it's the best league in the world ?
