Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

I absolutely get that this is a football forum and as such all events will be seen through that lens. But some of the stuff posted about all this would be better suited to RAWK. The funeral on Sunday is going to be the biggest event in this country ever. Every head of state in the world will be there, it is a huge terrorist risk, and that’s before you factor in the many millions of grief tourists and Londoners attending. As a policing operation it is unparalleled in the history of the UK and they’ve got one week. Yet people seem to expect the playing or not of certain football matches to be the priority. I am genuinely sorry for people who get inconvenienced or frustrated at a lack of news, but some perspective is needed.

It's a simple case of on or off, like I have said previously on here recently, calling off last weekends was a disgrace, but would understand them to be off this weekend, especially capital games.

But the funeral isn't till Monday morning,so if the games get the go ahead, play them all Saturday, and bring the Sunday games forward, they dither with decisions, and it's the best league in the world ?

Run by morons

Lots of good points. Like you say bring them all forward to Friday and Saturday and screen them all live for free. So those who can’t juggle their diaries can at least see their team. As a one off I doubt anyone would complain.

And as if by magic, the announcement is made, but Rags v Leeds off, hahahahaha, why really?

Ignoring tribal rivalry for a moment. Rags v Leeds is no longer about local fans travelling 40 miles. Many fans will have booked time off work, trains and hotels, coach companies refused other bookings because a supporters club booked them months ago, all will be left out of pocket and yet, none of the aforementioned have a scooby what will happen in 6 days time. That is not right. Yes we might laugh its the rags, it's Leeds, but it is wrong.
Can a) no one make a decision and b) when it's made compensate the fans, you, the PL. make fucking millions. Stop treating us like shite.
I had a ticket for that game on Sunday through work so now I’m pissed off has it would have been a good day

Seems like there is a possibility our game vs Arsenal could be moved, so the PSV match can take place before the draw for Europa League knockout stages.

Looks like the knockout round draw is on 7th November, which means the moving the Brighton Carabao Cup match doesn’t help with regards to concluding the group matches before the draw.
