Chelsea (N) | FA Cup SF | Post-Match Thread

No other team wins that game today after the week we've had and the lack of recovery time we were afforded other than us..

Dippers ?
Tarquins ?
Rags ?
Spuds ?

No fkin chance..

We've once again been royally fucked over by the powers that be.

No help whatsoever for the best team in England over the last decade from the twats at the FA and the PL..

Not to mention UK broadcasters and the media, openly willing fkin Madrid on, it's fkin embarrassing..

We are the flag bearers for the circus that is the PL, from Sergio's 93.20 to Gundog's 2 in 5 minutes to cement not only our achievements but the PL product in history too..

Single handily, we've made them untold £millions..

A 12 second goal in the cup final last year against the rags reverberated around the world and promoted the FA Cup beyond the wildest dreams of the stuffed shirts at the FA..

And after all that, the cunts still fucked us over..

They fkin hate us, well done Pep for calling them out..

Can't beat us on the pitch, currently doing their upmost to fcuk us over with a barrel of jumped up charges which are nailed on to fail, what's next ?

"Let's get City to play every 2.5 days, that'll stop 'em"..

Tough shit you fcukers, we're in the final again..

WELL PLAYED LADS..!

Sometimes you don't have to be at your very best. The result was all that mattered. They battled hard when they were obviously knackered after Wednesday night. Delighted that it was Bernardo that scored and put us through to the final. Let's go and win it now!

Funny isn't it we're all happier winning by a bucket full and shouting bring it on.

I think we learn more about the team when things aren't going right. Couldn't have done much more against Madrid, then a hard game against a Chelsea side who've done reasonably well against us.

We really showed character and desire, Akanji and Ake are our premier defenders, don't think Walker or Stones were great, though John was ill. Kevin and Phil didn't play well but still came up with big moments, sub Bernardo didn't do anything then one moment of pure brilliance.

Alvarez didn't hide but going through a difficult time. Jack played well but could have been more involved. He brings much greater control but Doku brings more threat. Stefan played extremely well.

Need to work hard on the defence for the league and get minutes into the subs.

OliVAR is an exceptionally poor referee, he will get players seriously injured the way he lets our lads get kicked. Jackson was diabolical, fortunately.

Up the Wembley Blues.

Amazing effort that today by the lads, was never going to be pretty but they kept on battling and got the reward at the end. So many players absolutely drained, thank god we don't play until Thursday now

That was one of the biggest wins of the season for the club, the players and the fans. Everybody was emotionally and physically drained after Wednesday. To have to play a sem final at Wembley so soon afterwards was immoral. It's a ridiculous schedule. I'm amazed our clubs ever win in Europe because the fa and premier league here do fuck all to help them. Winning today will give everybody a huge boost. Lose and the pressure would have been ramped up and the shite from the media would have gone into overdrive. I said during the game we just need to scab a win and that's exactly what we did. Well done to everybody. Pep rightly proud and furious in his post match interview.

It's unacceptable to let us play today' - Guardiola critices scheduling

Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was furious in his post-match interview with BBC Sport that they had to play today after Wednesday's Champions League game with Real Madrid.

"It's unacceptable to let us play today," he said. "It's impossible, for the health of the players. It's not normal. It's unacceptable. 120 minutes, the emotions of Madrid, the way we lose, honestly. I know this country is special [with the FA Cup] but it's for the health of the players. I don't understand how we survived today."

Asked whether he has raised it with authorities: "Do you think demanding will change something? The only power I have I say here. Why don't we play tomorrow. Chelsea, Manchester United, Coventry didn't play midweek.

"I thought a lot. I remember two seasons ago we had Dortmund on Wednesday - and Liverpool on Saturday [in the FA Cup semi]. They were 3-0 up at half-time. They destroyed us.

"Mentally so tough to recover. Rodri, the way he played today, Kyle, who was injured for a few weeks, I don't understand how they survived.

"We want to play football. We love to play football but it's too much.

"We defend our trophy. We'll be here.

"They killed us on the transition. The game was so tight. [I thought] extra time, no please."

On what he told his players: "Don't fight against your feelings. If you're sad you're sad. If you're disappointed you're disappointed. I'm sad. I'm so down. We played an exceptional game. I said if you're sad play with your sadness."

'Unacceptable to play today'

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking in his news conference: "I don't understand how we survived today. It's unacceptable to play today. Today is one of the greatest things I have seen from my players.

"I just want to protect my players. It's unacceptable, it's common sense. I'm not asking for something special or privilege."

So pleased for Bernardo and Pep , the uk press only back Klopp & co when they moan as Pep did today. Its an honour to support this team and Pep , an unbelievable gift to the game light years ahead of the rest. Thank you and well done Doku who really injected some pace and ruffled some feathers as indeed he did v Madrid.
