For me City, but..... that takes nothing away from Chelsea and indeed for Chelsea that was closer to their goal than winning the league would have been for them.

Chelsea have had a disastrous league campaign and finished 6th -
25 points behind the eventual winners..... Manchester City
who were the most consistent team over a long hard season of
38 games in the hardest league in the world.

The fact that they won the Fa cup and European Champions league,
which I applaud them for by the way, masks what a poor season
they have really had.

Don't underestimate the job demattao has done at Chelsea. They sacrificed league points for trophies. To come back from defeat v Napoli then survive a rabid Barcelona and bayern Munich to be champions of Europe is an amazing achievement. Both of us have had difficult circumstances and both have needed a bit of fortune along the way. Good question but hard to answer.

I think I'm closer to this reply, and if I'm honest their achievement repeated by us next year would suit me fine.

Makes you think what might have if one of those pen shouts had been given at the Allianz. The whole Tevez thing prob wouldn't have happened etc. etc.

From the respective fans view both clubs have had great seasons.

The CL is harder to win than the premier league????!!!!!

The CL has just been contested by the second best team in Germany and the sixth best in England. Neither entered the competition as reigning champions of their own country. With it being 'cup' based it's open to the best/most deserving team not always winning. You can avoid better teams depending on how the draw pans out.

The prem rolls over 38 games, you play everyone twice. There is none of this 'two legs' and 'away goals' bollocks. It's miles harder to come out as top dog under those circumstances than under CL circumstances.

And to top it off City slapped both Bayern and Chelsea at home this season.

Yes, it is, undoubtedly. One of the best managers in the world with one of the most stable and and domestically-dominant sides has only managed it twice out of eighteen attempts. I don't even know how many attempts there must have been by London clubs at winning it but to suffice to say there'll be dozens, and yet only one win. I would swap Champions League trophies for league trophies without a second's hesitation.

In terms of which I'd rather have had, I would say City - would much rather win our domestic league before the Champions League but, from a neutral's perspective, you'd probably have to go with Chelsea, no matter how much luck they had.

Cup competitions anything can happen luck and bad show from other team. To win the prem takes real guts and determination its a marathon over 38 games and I wouldn't swap it for any cup.

In terms of progress of the 'project', winning the league for us was always going to be first and foremost, so I will say City.

Amazing stuff by Chelsea though.
