There's some shitheads on here to be sure. General consensus yesterday was that this is just the sort of team we should have played today, due to Wednesday. There wasn't much dissent at half time. Now it's gone the way that could easily have been predicated, people are moaning. Hindsight is a gift an incredible number of people seem to use.
That result can't have been a surprise surely? They are reigning PL champions. Also, whilst not suggesting the senior players were any use, you cannot judge anyone in that team, on today's performance (Cabellero excepted).

Good post.
The young players did well in the main.
Demichelis,Kolarov and Fernando weren't great, though they are getting more stick than they deserve on today's performance.
The team selection and tactics were flawed from the outset.
Caballero is a liability and has been since he was signed, terrible goalkeeper.

He obviously hasn't been keeping an eye of Barcelona's squad rotation of the last few weeks then.

The difference is they do it subtlety, one or two players here and there. And when someone else comes into the team, they have a fucking plan and idea to fit in to.
They don't have 12 squad players injured either.

Really quite appalled by some of these senior pros, stealing a fucking living.

Kolarov, Caballero, Fernando, Demichelis all need fucking off.

Kids have shown they can be part of the squad, just need trusting. About time they took the place of some of these fucking donkeys.

Would be generally curious to see caballero stats compared to Pantilimon's. Clean sheets, how many times he's let in more than 2 goals etc. Can't help but think they will prove him to be a downgrade.

The guy i know who houses youth players once housed barker apparently, which seems strange considering hes local but anyway. He reckons barker is going and thats why he hasnt played much and his head is down. Miht be bollocks. I certainly hope so!

I think he doesn't have his head up much anyway. I wouldn't read too much into that. If you have a look at Barker's performances over the last couple of seasons it's obvious we have a decent talent on our hands. I would think it was much too early to make a decision over his future.

Selection was a Club decision not only Pellegrini. The club asked for it to be moved to saturday but BBC refused. So the BBC got what they deserved - "not a real game".
2 good things to come out of that game; young players getting experience and senior players not getting injured at the start of an important week.
People may not agree with the selection but you can understand why they did it.
The following players will now have had a week and a half recovery before Kiev; Hart, Kompany, Otemendi, Clichy, Fernandinho, Silva, Sterling, Aguero.

And Yaya.

We would have done better with E T in the net today

Young players played well, the senior players did not!

I would me more than happy to see those players take some of the fringe players role no problem

I'm glad Pelligrini won't be coaching for much longer - constantly trying the offside trap today was ludicrous, more lazy management form Pelligrini
